DIMPLES

As you can see in my profile pic... I have dimples when I smile.  These are not just any normal dimples though.  My dimples are high up on my cheeks centered right below my eyes.  Most people have dimples on the sides of their mouths or cheeks, but not me.  I have never been one to be normal so why would my dimples be any different. There have been many occasions when I meet people and smile because... what do you do when you meet people?  You SMILE duh.  After I smile, the people that I have just met will say things like, "Wow, do that again!" or "How do you make your cheeks do that thing?" or  "You have the cutest dimples I have ever seen!"  I say thank you and make my dimples appear again for their viewing pleasure.  These reactions are most common.  But then there are other times when I get the strangest comments.  For example...
-In the 8th grade I worked as an office assistant and the attendance lady had the nerve to tell me that my dimples were birth defects.  I still have complex from the attendance lady at age 20.
-Another girl that I knew in elementary and middle school in San Diego liked to call my dimples "sand crabs" and pinch my cheeks every time my dimples appeared.  (If you have ever tried to catch sand crabs and seen my dimples, then it would make sense)
Then came the nickname... There was this group of boys that I hung out with for awhile, but not so much any more.  They enjoyed giving girls nicknames and mine was: Dimples.  Lets just say that my nickname was much kinder than many of the other girls they knew.

So... there is my reasoning for my blog title.  My dimples are something unique I've got going on.  Ya feel me?
